With the release of My Super Fiancé Volume One: Hero Interrupted, it feels like the perfect time to announce the next release from the My Super Fiancé original soundtrack, 「Cold Hearted」!
A cover of the 1988 Paula Abdul classic, performed by fellow queer recording artist Brendan Velasquez, the Prism City Remix marks the soundtrack’s first featured cover song—and one of my personal favorites. After previously collaborating on my 2020 album StarStealer, being able to include Brendan on My Super Fiancé was a no brainer. He’s a fantastic talent.

“Working with the Kenyth is always a good time,” Velasquez says with a laugh. “His ideas are consistently brilliant, and this project is their most epic yet. The 「Cold Hearted」 remix has that familiar power, but with a twist—just like the incredible, often-suppressed powers we all carry inside.”
“Growing up, I lived for Saturday morning cartoons, dreaming of being one of heroes who stood for the outcasts. Now, I get to be a part of that legacy, lending my sound to a story where queer voices are finally in the spotlight.” He continues. “I’m absolutely over the moon to reveal that a remix of my track, 「Cold Hearted」, will be featured on the official soundtrack for Kenyth Mogan’s groundbreaking gay superhero story! Little me is seriously losing it right now!”
Cold Hearted will drop on 9 January!
